Solitude Reaffirmed (poetry)

Posted on June 19, 2014April 19, 2023 by Perspective Mapper

It takes a stand to stand on our own,

A stand to make it through the overgrown,

bushes that keep us from finding the truth,

buried right in front of us…oh please give a holler and hoot.

We navigate through waters uncharted, undefined.

Definitions tracked in treads that unwind,

As we pass through them, into a world that we create,

Our identity lingers in a place unable to be just fate,

as we seemingly are cursed to be alone,

we look on, and find that we are not going to moan,

as from within comes forth, energy that runs deep, so steep,

an energy that we feel compelled to reap,

it lingers on, in ways we must continuously recall

as if we keep to it, it simply does not lead to a fall

…. but grace, life, and strength … of being on to my own self, the one True Self, that is all
