Perhaps more important than the specific details of this fascinating proclamation is that such portraits loosen the clenched grip and false confidence we might have in the narratives that we’ve been indoctrinated by during our lives.
We might be clamoring to hold-onto to a *false* confidence that comes from blindly embracing what we might have always believed or been taught.. or the *real* confidence that comes from embracing a continuous skepticism and uncertainty in any of our conclusions of the people, societies, and world around us.
