Happy New Years Everyone,
2014 has been groundbreaking and heartwarming in so many ways…more than any other year of my life. I’ve had interactions with people on a deeper level than ever, and put a stake in the ground for my place in the world.

I definitely have some exciting plans and needed work to share in the next 12 months. However, I’d like to start off the new year with the top seven insights from the past year — insights that have fundamentally transformed the way I live my life. They are as follows:
1) Fulfillment comes not from achieving someone’s ideal, but from expressing our unique value and vantage-point with the world. And no one, not friends, families, bosses, or teachers, or lovers can do that for us. Only one person is equipped to do so.
2) There is a victory embedded in each moment. A micro victory. What it takes is recognizing the potential and possibilities within. The joy of life is recognizing this opening, and blossoming, in each moment.
3) Each manifestation has a crack in it. Each theory is imperfect. Each practice is flawed. Each wisdom is partial. Each teacher is biased. Each statement has misinterpretations. Each experience has consequences. The continuous realization of this is not simply suffering, but rather our very salvation.
4) Unless we see the divinity in each other, we aren’t really seeing each other, no matter how perceptive or in-tune we think we are.
5) So long as we embody the premise of disease, we can not be free of disease.
6) The embrace of ‘oneness’ means we are all connected. In other words, all the good and all the evil in the world is within us, not outside us. From the most inspiring to the most vulgar — they are all within us. Whatever side of the fence we are on, sooner or later, we gotta swallow that pill if we are sincere in this embrace.
7) Space is a universal panacea. Space within interaction. Space within reaction. Space within thought. Space within feelings.
And well, there’s a lot more…but I’ll leave it at that for now.
The New Year brings time of great hope, and joyous renewal, for prospects yet to occur, and consolidation of lessons that have occurred.
Let’s bring it on. 🙂
