Meditation Sets the Stage for Perspective Broadening

Posted on December 12, 2013April 19, 2023 by Perspective Mapper

Meditation is an essential prerequisite for any effort to increase the space for additional perspectives in our consciousness.

Meditation lays the groundwork for integrating multiple perspectives. It is the process of cultivating our mind — tilling the fields — allowing perspectives we encounter, in addition to our default point-of-view, to live with each other.

With a consistent meditation practice, it is much easier to develop the ability to think ‘laterally’ or ‘fractally’, rather than just ‘linearly’. This lateral thinking facilitates the addition of additional perspectives to our repertoire.

Different meditation practices are differently suited to broaden our range of perspectives. Here, we’re researching the optimum meditation practice for this purpose.
