Christian Politics

Posted on January 11, 2020April 19, 2023 by Perspective Mapper

While this site is open to various beliefs and understandings, there are two central principles that (I feel) are eternal and universal.

These are: 1) love our Creator with all our heart, mind, and soul (whatever we consider or call this force) and 2) love each other AS ourselves.

These of course are based on the commandments of Jesus Christ… as well as the fundamental teachings of many belief systems.

Most politicians in the United States — perhaps the world — would at least in-principle agree these should be the cornerstone of our worldview.

However, they aren’t. There actually is a fundamental mismatch between policy and principle. Simply put…policy is way out of whack with these principles — almost comically so.

Where, how, and why? Well…it’s something that needs greater investigation…or rather greater introspection.

That’s a question I hope to explore on this site.
